The Wi-school punk formed in San Diego in the '90s and guitarist / vocalist Tom DeLonge, bassist / singer Hoppus and drummer Scott Raynor be original produced EP entitled Flyswatter in 1993. The group was known simply as Blink, but after releasing the LP through Cheshire Cat Grilled Cheese / Cargo in 1994, forced to change its name to Blink-182 because of an Irish band of the same name and located. Blink-182 on the road with NOFX and Pennywise Warped Tour in 1996-97 and then was released jointly Dude Ranch by the load and MCA. The album was certified platinum in 1998 with the popular single Dammit (Growing Up) "and Blink-182 officially signed an agreement with the CSF. Raynor was replaced by Travis Barker, formerly with the Aquabats, blink-182 for the fourth album Enema of the State, which was published in 1999. Produced by Jerry Finn (Rancid, Green Day), Enema propelled the punk band in the current success with commercial success as "Adam's Song," "All The Small Things" and "What's My Age Again?" and sold over four million copies. The limited edition release, Tom, Mark and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back), followed in 2000 with a new song, "Man Overboard" and live songs.
In 2001, Blink-182 returned to their SoCal punk roots for Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, which was followed in 2003 by Blink-182 released on Geffen Records. The eponymous album, boasted the Cure Robert Smith on "this" and "I Miss You "topped the charts in 2005. Just when Blink-182 seemed unstoppable, the trio suddenly announced they were taking a break for an indefinite period of the band. The most important visits followed this in November and then the boys stuck true to his word and split up to focus on their families and other projects. Barker was busy with her clothing line Famous Stars and Straps, playing with transplants and starred in the MTV reality show Meet the Barkers. Hoppus property in a way its part, called Atticus, and walked across the studio to produce projects like Motion City Soundtrack, Commit This to Memory.
