Are there any groups that have painted depictions of religious figures not of there own image?
Say Jesus in europe he’s blonde, in africa he’s black, in the mid east he’s arab, in asia he’s asian.
Is there anywhere on the globe where the religious figures don’t appear the same as the culture that painted him. (religious figures that are human beings).
I don’t think that the phenomenon you are saying is always true.
But anyway, in southeast Asia you can see religious figures with traits from other parts of the globe, arab, european, african, mixed.
