Scale Gauge
Does anyone know any scenic tips for an O gauge, scale layout?
I have a small layout 6′ by 5′ 2″. I would appreciate any scenic tips you may have. My current layout is getting boring seeing a train pass by my only bush! Thanks!

I am guessing from your post that you are talking landscaping in a small space. If so, I would start by finding out what Zone you are in (1-10) and what grows well in your area.
Secondly, I would take a look at my artistic attributes and decide if there is anything sculpturely you may want to have plantings around to help with the changing seasons.
Then you might like to take a look at some pictures you snap around your area or even see on the net. Find out what the plants are that please you, then ask you local nurseryman what might have that type of growth pattern that will require very little upkeep and actually get along with other plants in your small area.
Don’t forget to use pots that will allow you to plant things that last for a short time and can be used to replace with another type of plant that will be viable for the new season. I have no idea what part of the country you are in, so en cannot help any further or give you suggestions as to what you like.
Plantings are very personal they can be Zen or they can actually be a haven (sounds like you are looking for a space like that). Anyway don’t forget affordable seating, bird feeders, pumps for the sound of water moving that is also very affordable. You can add fish if you like, but just don’t forget what you like in nature. That’s my real point here.
Use rocks to boost the height of your plantings, pots also add to the landscape because you can paint scenes on them as well!
